Am I just too traditional?

My husband and my brother in law both have a huge poster of a naked woman in their old bedroom wall back home... Now my 14 year old brother and 5 year old niece will be sleeping in that room for 2 weeks while their on holiday... I told my husband that we could take down the posters while their there as to me its very disrespectful especialy since my niece is only 5, but my husband and brother in law think its normal and that there is no need to take them down... Am I in the wrong here???

Well complicated situation with the 5years olds mother shes not very much envolved in the kids life which is why she spends more time with me therefore I am taking her on holiday including my litlle brother...

I think best thing is mention it to my brother in law as it's his poster and take it down when I get there... But knowing them it's not going to be that simple... And they will make me feel like I am weird and old fashioned...

It's not an old fasioned view at all. My step son would be more than welcome to put up whatever he lke on his walls in his room. If they were pictures like that I would expect that he would take them down if he was to have a child using his room. It's not old fasioned, it's basic decency!

it is unhealthy for a 14 year old boy whose hormones are raging, to sleep in the same room as a 5 year old girl, made worse by the photo of a nude female. I suggest that you do not put anything in place that would be a cause for deep regret later on. the five year old should sleep with you or alone. It is ridiculous that he adult males cannot see the danger they are exposing the children to

What happens when the 5 year old goes to school and tells everyone I went on holiday shared a room with a 14 year old boy and there was a picture of a naked man on the wall?

Conjures up a very distasteful scene in my opinion.

THE POSTERS MUST COME DOWN... surely they can be rolled u and stored and put back when the kids leave...
