people say the stupidest things when they are angry. or, it could be that you have complete bar stewards for parents. either way, you should not depend on others for your self confidence and worth. you are a person in your own right and as such will make your way in life in the best way you see fit. take care honey x

also you feel how you feel, you can't be told how (that's just the way it is!). However, you can then think what to do next or how best to use those feelings.

As said above, people say things they don't mean when tired, stressed, in the heat of the moment (more often in hot, humid weather, actually!), so try and think about it objectively and rationally - might be easier said than done.
