I've found as I've got older I've noticed the faults in my parents more. They annoy me more now and I feel like our relationship (esp with my mum) has deteriorated a bit.

Do you think this is common?

My Mother-in Law is 93....We're having her put down next Friday.....
Put down where?
Will she be able to get out again, poor woman?!!
We invited her to a weekend in Switzerland but she wouldn't go....
See if they have a 2 for 1 offer for Switzerland john,my mum could do with a trip abroad ;-)
My relationship with my parents was not good in my late teens/early 20's-especially with my dad. I spent a lot of time moaning to my much older sister and brother. But I think it is normal at that age because you are finding your feet as an adult, and need to test the boundaries.
Then when I was 22,my dad became ill and died when he was 69...and tho I was planning to move out,I instead stayed on with my mum.
We became much closer over time...she died at 86, and she still remains in my heart as a good mum who did her best. At the time, my ex said he loved her more than his own mum.
