Tattooed teen
8 Answers
My daughter is wanting a tattoo like all her friends. She is 16, nearly seventeen. What I want to know is......... What age can she legally have one done? Is it sixteen with my consent and 18 without? or is it 18 full stop? Ive been trying to talk her out of it but she is determined. Many thanks.

With very careful guidance it went from a big one on her neck ot shoulder argh!! to a small one on the lower right hand side of her back. She designed it herself and its very simple and pretty. I pointed out how it would look in a wedding dress, ball gown, in business etc. You wont be able to stop but you can try and guide. Good luck!!
As hc has already said, it's 18 and no tattooist will do it without ID to confirm this, so you're safe for a couple of years :-)
Like you my eldest daughter from 16 nagged and nagged and nagged for one. For her 18th I promised i'd pay for one. She went in all full of bravado and left a gibbering wreak with the smallest tattoo in the world on her hip which she refused to have coloured in, as she found it that painful. It's put her off for life...heh.
