I would love to go bike riding this summer and have looked at various bike seats/trailers but they all seem to be suitable for toddlers rather than a baby. Does anyone know of one that would be suitable for a 6 month baby or do they not exist? I would not be taking baby on roads but on quiet paths for a gentle ride!
i dont like babies on bikes full stop there is little or no head support and when you are riding you cannot see if they are asleep and when they do their poor heads bop all over the place uncomfortable i dont think they should be on seats on bikes until they are much older
Yes this is my worry with a bike seat but what about the trailers? I don't know why they say for older babies/toddlers when some of them look just like pushchairs and in fact can be converted to them.
We got a trailer from Halfords for about 70 quid. They fold flat and are easy to put together and fix to the bike. Totally safe with 3 strap harnesses, rain covers etc. Its the sort of thing you see on ebay/car boot sales all the time as you only really get about 2 years use out of it before the child outgrows them. They're ideal from about 12 months to 4 years.
