I think this is distgusting.
I have recently had to go onto benefits for the first time in my life, and even then I struggled to stay in work for as long as I could.
December 2008 - Felt like a pulled muscle in the groin area
March 2009 - still felt like a pulled mucled but I had been taking it easy, warm baths after work etc
April 2009 - when climbing across the bed to get my book, my hip gives a REALY load CRACK! I scream (a very manly, deep scream.....more of a cough really...)... and I mean scream! Then curle up into a ball and cry, my girlfriend comes running in an says the obvious with a serious look on her face "I think its time you went to see the doctor!"
June 2009 - Doctor have seen me and sent me to a specialist who says that I have Large Hip Labral Tear that will require Arthroscopic Surgery.
August 2009 - I now need crutches to get around, the pain is intense and im prescribed morphine for the pain. At this time my work dont like me being there under health and safety grounds, they sign me off for two months in the hope that my op will have happened. I fight this decision and get allowed back to work after building suitable evidence from two doctors (my own and the one appointed by the work place).
September 2009 - I go for a consultation at the hospital where my op is to take place.
