It seems that John Travolta's wife Kelly has just given birth aged 48!
Now I have no children, and in fact have never been pregnant, but something seems wrong here.
I know we women CAN have babies late but something in this seems odd to me.
Not that long after(sadly) losing their son she amazingly produces another child,as to replace the other.
Was it conceived by IVF,or surrogacy,we will probably never know the truth(especially given that they are Scientologists)
Any thoughts welcome.
I apologise if this sounds hard.

absoultely not cazz :o) as we can see from examples given above!
I can assure you that sis and I were not cover ups for a teenaged daughter!
I sure you weren't woof.......does your mother have a little sister ;o)
each to their own but for me personally 48 would be to old imo
LOL.......you have taken the usual AB "tongue lashing" fuelled mainly by high levels of circulating oestrogens and female maternal hyper sensibility, which in my opinion you didn't deserve.

>> given birth aged 48!>>.....nothing abnormal there.

<<Not that long after(sadly) losing their son she amazingly produces another child,as to replace the other.<<<

In my opinion a reasonable query........and you did say "sadly"

Dont take it to heart Invictas.......they all feel much more righteous now.
What I think folk objected to sqad was the assumption by invictis that this couple are having another baby so that the one that sadly died can be replaced.
And I thought I was way past it at 38!

I don't think it matters how the baby was conceived as long as they are both healthy and happy then why not. What I object to is giving birth to twin girls at the age of 60 something and rejecting them because they were not boys! The was a news item last year if I remember rightly.
wonder who the oldest person is to give birth on answerbank would be interested to hear their opinion
well I'm 47 and am now scared witless at having relations just in case!
nox, ratter and andy need to be warned about their oestrogen fuelled outbursts in future!
i had my two at 19 and 25 (to young really )
ideally i should of waited till i was 30 i was steralised at 36 an age where most people are having their first
i suppose you have to do whats right for you
hi alba xx
i think maybe personal circumstances has a lot to do with reactions to this one... when my mum was 48 i was 23 so would have found it extreemly weird for her to have a new baby when i was old enough to have my own. On the other hand, if by the time i'm in my 40s I haven't got any kids, i like to think nature would allow me the opportunity......

Dont take it personally invictas, i get where you're coming from with this - echoing what some others have said, maybe the way you worded it is more the problem than your actual opinion?!
sorry for off-topic hi bernie My internet is playing up and I feel bad couldn't reply to fluffy's comment on another post
cazz....once again you misinterpreted what I said........I said "MAINLY" not completely.
wait til I have a testosterone fuelled outburst;-)
Im looking forward to it nox ... :D
BOO

<<What I think folk objected to sqad was the assumption by invictis that this couple are having another baby so that the one that sadly died can be replaced.<<<

She actually said:

<<<produces another child,as to replace the other. <<<

"as to" "as if to"" in order to"........she hasnt had any children and Invictas didn't mean it literally..............I know what she meant and it seems quite reasonable to me.
Cazz... you little devil;-)
Nox........isn´t she just ;-)
