There are quite a lot of websites Sara but I'm curious if anyone has gone through a divorce this way. Also, I don't think you are being told the true cost because there is a payment to the Court to be added on which isn't being mentioned. Furthermore, I believe it has to be a fairly simple divorce because a more complicated one would obviously mean more paperwork and time. I will investigate further though. all they do is send you the paperwork with a guide on how to fill it in. You still have to submit the paperwork to the courts and go through the usual process. TBH the guide was pretty good as the paperwork was fairly complex.
you can get the same form for nothing from the courts if you're feeling brave enough to complete it yourself with no guidance.
If property division, finance, children have been sorted between you then it should be straight forward to do it yourself.
Or if there is no property/children/assets to argue over.
