hi my husband is charged for abh and i have no family in uk. i have 2 young boys. my husband cant contact us and his case is in crown court for sentencing next month. the social services have put my kids on child in need prg. all this is getting too much for me and i am thinking of going back to my country to my parents. what shall i do and is it possible?
we are from afghanistan and have indefinate leave to remain in the uk have afgani passport . my husband has a british passport. my kids were born here. things are getting on my nerve and i just want to go back to my country now
no the chidren dont have a britsih passport we never applied but they are aligible. my husband is on bail charged with abh 1st offence and i dont know what he will get...if he is being sent to jail what will i do here...no family no friends
But are you thinking of leaving with or without his knowledge/permission? You could apply for passports for the children and if your husband is a British national then there shouldn't be a problem as long as his name is on their birth certificates (I think you will also need husband's passport number and details for application form) - but the problem is taking them out of the country without his knowledge or permission.
he is in full remorse and he is ready to face any punishement. he will let me take the kids away and he will have to sort himself out and prove to me he has changed. i,m just thinking abt my options here ...its hard without him to manage on my own. i,m just wondering if social services will have any problem with this
rimirza I can fully understand you wanting to go home to your family if your husband goes to jail. You say you have no friends here, there are quite a number of Afghan communities around the country and they have an excellent support network, have you looked into what is in your area?
Afghanistan is a beautiful country and so are the people, I can understand you wanting to go home. Now I know where you are from I am wanting to have mantu for lunch!
You'll be committing a serious criminal offence (under the Child Abduction Act 1984) if you attempt to take the children out of the country without their father's consent:
