Rare Breed (4.2%) from Butcombe Brewery.
Pale Amber in colour with a Hoppy Citrus smell.
Refreshing and Fruity taste.
A good session Beer being as it is not too strong.
Rowan and myself both enjoyed it, and it's available from all good Ember Inns e.g 'The Green Man', Harborne.
It's in their Autumn Beer range Catalogue.
Worth a mention is:-
Monkey IPA (6.4%) from Art Brew.
A hard hitting beer, very Hoppy with strong grapefruit flavours and a bitter astringency. If you like your beers strongly hopped then this will be a treat. The ginger in the middle is interesting and gives this beer a unique character.
Available at the 'Post Office Vaults', New Street, Birmingham.
We are both regular visitors to 'Post Office Vaults' and 'The Wellington', Bennett's Hill, which are the best two Cask Ale Specialists in Birmingham.
Enjoy your Beer everone ! :-)
Christ - wish we had the resources that you guys have...my choice this week being Guinness or Bays Topsail, the others being too light for me, Skinners Greenhop for example.
Hello TOWIE, hope you are well ??
We keep the Cinema and the Beer separate !! ha ha
Remember,Beer doesn't make you fat.
It makes you lean (against doors, tables, walls). !! :-))
OH and I have been in Greece for 2 weeks and have so missed proper beer (i.e. not lager). So last night we had some Timothy Taylor Landlord, then some Wychwood Hobgoblin, then some Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby. Then fell asleep with silly grins on our faces.
Sarah Hughes brewery is at the Beacon pub in Sedgley, not a million miles from Brum, so do get over there and try it. Just don't think of driving! In fact, don't even think of trying to walk in a straight line.
lol lol Kiki-frog !!
Sounds like an aptly named Beer called 'Wobbly Bob' (6%)from Phoenix Brewery which I last drank at 'The Swan', Wood St, Liverpool.
It does make you wobbly as well :-))))
Fullers 'Honeydew' @ 5% sounds interesting jobjockey, but have not seen it in the Birmingham Pubs or up North either.
It's probably freely available on Draught in London and the South as Fullers are a London Brewery.
Bass is still brewed by Marstons under Licence I believe, but not my favourite brew.
Fullers London Pride is available everywhere but they have a range of more interesting Beers
