Can anyone tell me the right consistency? I'm having one & the straw in the glass is standing by itself. Getting thicker by the minute :/

Is there a right consistency ?
Yours does sound a little thicker than I've had in the past though. Maybe you need to vary the ratio of ingredients a bit. But if it tastes nice, who cares ?
It should be about the consistency of a milkshake.
Supposed to be like a milkshake… depends how much coconut milk/cream is used.

Thanks Baldric/ snags, I have to go now ;0)
Love pina colada, but the ones I've had was more of liquid substance than milkshake. Mohitos are lovely too, so Benidorm but nice.

I'm going to have to leave it. I thought it would come in a nice cocktail glass with a splash of cream.
Mojitos are the best ever... I make a good one myself!
If it's not for you could you bring it here please ?
Thanks.

Ayg, I just had a Manhatten & enjoyed it. My aim is to try a different cocktail on the list. Every now & then.
The ones we had recently in Cuba, from a traditional place and made completely from scratch, were so thick you could barely suck it up through the straw and had lumps of coconut in. They gave you a glass of this stuff, and a bottle of rum to add your own. Best ones I've ever had.
The ones we had in the hotels were very nice but nowhere near as thick or delicious.
Elina, try an English garden cocktail...2 parts gin, 2 parts apple juice, 2 parts lime cordial, 1 part elderflower cordial (or elderflower liqueur if you can find it). You can top it up with fizzy wine if you want but I prefer it as it is.
Ooh, Manhattan's are my favourite, closely followed by a Margarita :)

Geezer, I left it behind. .. Knowabit, I've never tasted a Mojito. .. ethandron, I never thought it would be so gloopy. Rocky .. I found the first sip a little sharp, then it grew on me.
Pina Coladas are pineapple and coconut. You can get cans of frozen concentrate; and make them with 7-Up or Sprite instead of liquor
