where does the ingredient taurine in red bull come from

I like to drink red bull every now and then but was reading the ingred the other day and saw taurine. I know its ment to be good for you just wondered if anyone knows.

Taurine is an amino acid which naturally occours in the human body. It plays a role in detoxifying, increasing physical performance and stress reduction.

Red Bull contains 1g of Taurine per can (compared to approx 70g in a 70kg human body)
