for the scottish abers, in my local shop yesterday a customer purchased a bottle of moet champagne and a bottle of buckfast tonic wine, is there a new cocktail been invented ? for all other nationalities i wonder what your equivalent would be to buckfast ?

I imagine they were buying the Moet for the adults, and the Buckfast for the binge-drinking angelic tearaway rascal scallywags?

Perhaps the non-Scots would refer Cristal (for me) and Diamond White or Mad Dog 20/20 for the bratz?

Crete , when I worked behind the bar in a nightclub , the worst I was asked for was Buckfast and Baileys together.We didn't even sell Buckfast but I thought that that sounded disgusting. Actually Buckfast sounds disgusting full stop.

It's made at Buckfastly Abbey, a working Monastary in South Devon. I've been there a few times, it's quite interesting. The electric soup is yummy... as is the whisky marmalade they sell as well :0)

The answer's obvious - it's a Kelvinside (posh) version of 'Punk Champagne', the recipe for which is two parts white cider to one part Buckfast.

For some reason it seems to be more popular in the West of Scotland than anywhere else!

Was indulging in late night tv and guess what I saw. How much do you think that the monks had to pay for product placement on Streets of Crime 4, lol, made me think of you tho' crete, as the wee scrote was swiggin' Buckfast mid questioning by the Pol-ice , no Moet in sight I did look!
