Wonder if anyone can help. I'm totally new to this and am looking at what equipment I need. I'm wanting to bottle the beer and crown-cap it to condition. I've seen something called a little bottler which looks a useful tool to own if bottling.

Do I need to siphon the beer into the bottles straight from the fermenting bin, or is it best to siphon to a barrel and bottle it from there after a week or so of the second stage of fermentation?

Hi B - suggest a trip to your local home brew shop - practically one in every town - to get the specific answers as you'll probably find it will all come from experience and getting to know when to carry out an action once you get going, and the guys in the shop will be more than happy to help...

Good info at : http://www.beertech.co.uk by the way fro supplies etc

Best suggestion I would say for advice is 'cleanliness' - if there's muck there's a problem......

Have fun!
