Coca cola
My son of 20 will drink up to 6-8 cans of coca cola a day and I am worried. Surely this is not good for him? I am worried as to the possible health problems it will produce. Any one out there know about this who can advise me i would appreciate it thanks.

Heathfield's suggestion sums it up - Cola rots your teeth (due to sugar and acid - the latter of which is in diet versions too), leeches the calcium out of your bones and contains six teaspoons per can - so your son is having up to 48 spoons of sugar a day, just in his cola.
It also contains caffeine, which makes you jittery and edgy - and is addictive - which could be why he drinks so much. He would probably be best cutting down by a couple of cans every few days so he's not tempted to keep glugging.
Oh, and caffeine is also a diruetic - so the more you drink, the more thirsty you get and the more you need to keep drinking (when your body is actually crying out for water).
Hope this helps

Hi I just wanted to say that I drink fizzy drinks all the time and it started to harm my teeth.
If your son still wants to drink fizzy drinks than I would advise him to change his toothpaste to PRO ENAMAL or ENAMEL CARE. i started using them both and my teeth have started to get stronger and healthier. if I hadnt started using them my denist said my teeth would fall out by the time I was 30 and I am only 20 years old.
