Eating out Southampton

Hi Folks, I'm looking for a recommendation for a good restaurant in Southampton. I'm open to any cuisine, so long as they have a menu that's exciting and extensive with nice surroundings and a good wine list.

We ate at the Oxford Brasserie last time, which was gorgeous. Something of that standard is what we are looking for. Many thanks in advance.

If you like Indian food then Kuti's is nice. Don't bother with POSH indian restaurant, its dreadful. La Margarita is popular but I wasn't that impressed (italian)

I looked at Kuti's - I thought it was Thai?? Would the Pier one be the best?

The pier is Thai, the Brasserie is Indian.

Sorry, just realised you probably can't open it but make a note of and look at when you get home. Reading that menu has just made me really hungry so off to do my salad now. Hope you have a nice meal wherever you go. xx

Forget all that...................... Drive our of "scum" to The Thomas Lord, West Meon, only about 20 miles, Hampshire food pub of the year. great food, great surrondings etc etc
