I love long spaghetti, you know the 2 foot long stuff, just a few years ago all the shops sold it, now we cant find any.

Do you buy long spaghetti or short spaghetti ?

Do you cut yours up or twirl it on your fork ?

Rowanwitch, linguine! that is not spaghetti, that's a cop-out. CHEAT!

We usually shop at Morrison's, they don't sell it at our local store.
twirl it.

I haven't seen long spaghetti for years so have to buy the short stuff.
Local Co-op. No spaghetti any length. No lasagne, no macaroni et al. Only penne. Reduced!
I never thought about it till now but I haven't seen the long stuff for years either. I tend to go for penne or fusilli etc for ease of cooking.
Ratter, I've spent all morning at Tesco's today and I came across long spaghetti! It's in the dry pasta section and it's their Tesco's Finest range. It's wrapped in black paper but it's definitely long as I pulled it out to have a look.
I'm convinced the reason supermarkets don't stock long spagghetti is that, lying sideways on the shelves, they think it takes up space that could be used for short spaghetti plus something else.
My friend, you (and me - because I keep searching and searching) cannot find it, because they probably don’t make it anymore! Why? Because people don’t buy it! (You see, most people have trouble rolling the conventional spaghetti on their spoons, let alone the long one! I even see may people cut their spaghetti with a knife… and I get goosebumps! It should be illegal to allow people do that awful thing…)
