Spatchcock chicken

Does a spatchcock chicken take the same amount of time to cook as a normal chicken (they weigh just under 1kg each), thanks.

From the BBC Good Food website:
"Griddle or grill for 15-20 mins per side or roast for 40 minutes (depending on size of bird)"

Spatchcock, is often thought of as a smaller bird but can also be a chicken that is split along it length head to bum between the legs and flattend out so it just joined at the breast, you then marinade the bird and grill or roast because it flat it will cook quicker than a full stuffed and trusted chicken, I like mine done with american mustard, worc sauce garlic and black pepper
