Can you steam a steak/burgers or minced beef in a pressure cooker?

I'm thinking of browning first and then attempting this but would like some info on the consistency/texture and flavour of the finished product.

As for cooking mince in a pressure cooker...it only takes 15 mins to cook anyway. The whole point with pressure cookers is shortening the cooking times. by the time the pressure cooker is up to pressure the meat would be cooked. However, if you are doing a spag bol, which does benefit from long cooking, I guess that the pressure cooker would give the tenderness which usually takes longer. If you do try steaming burgers please let us know how it goes...interesting idea...
I have a jml starchef and you can put your food in it and get ready, go out etc.. It's really handy so I wondered if steak/burgers could also be done this way which hopefully would taste as good and still contain nutrients. I guess as you say I'd have to try it out and post back at the discovery or disaster!

my husband cooks us steamed burgers.... using lean mince, put them into individual steaming trays, into the steamer, put some cheddar cheese in little pots in there too for melted cheese, when its all cooked (abt 10-15 mins) ip the juice from the tray, put them in a bun and enjoy.......... i have to say, you dont lose any taste from the burger, infact they are much tastier, a big hit in our house, and healthier than frying.... give it a try you might even like it :)
