whats your favourite sauce for steak?
do you have any simple ideas for a nice sauce?
or any for any other meat.

I make a easy sauce with phili, mushrooms, onions and mustard that always goes down well with a nice fillet or ribeye but looking for other ideas.

lofty, that sounds nice too.

Im quite gutted that little CRX got to choose dinner tonight, because I doubt these will go with bangers and mash :(

Not really a sauce but I've been using the recipe from the Knorr stock cube advert recently,
1 cube made into a paste with some olive oil smeared onto a piece of sirloin from the farm shop then fried to your preference.
Delicious!
Just a shame the farm shop closed down two weeks ago!

I've bought one from snags' link. They CAN be had cheaper from Ebay but only if you are prepared to wait a zillion years for delivery from China. The ones available to buy in the UK were dearer than th one I have bought

ah i dont mind.

i may have to dig out a little heart mould to make butter for steak on saturday, treat Mr CRX to a nice meal.

HP or Daddies Brown sauce, but not ON the steak - on the side so you can taste the steak as is or add extra flavour as desired.

Don't like sauce on steak but certainly use English mustard. If having boiled potatoes then a spot of HP does the trick for me.
