tagliatelli with pesto, youghurt onions and mushrooms.
fry onions and mush, cook pasta. Mix everything together. Add olives and parmesan
Hi Ummmm,

If they like pasta, try making loads of pasta type dishes where flavours are mixed up, rather than dishes with individual portions of things. Bologneise for instance. Cut down the amount of meat and add loads of other things to bulk it up.

Same with rice.

Stir fries are a good idea, a bit of pork or chicken and then cashew nuts mushrooms, bits of this bits of that. Nuts will give them the protein they need as will grated cheese over the top of everything.

I know you are a good cook, so good luck.

Nice to see you back.

Mr LL was a huge meat eater but I have cut it down probably by 75%
I seem to be adding spinach to loads of meals these days. Mr LL reckons he doesn't like spinach, but I don't think he has noticed.

Also with curry. I use just a small amount of chicken and bulk it out with cashew nuts and cauliflower and again stir in loads of spinach. It goes down very well and I have had no complaints.
And there's so much you can do with fish as well.

Pasta will always go down well with the boys....

tbh....it's the grown up that's the problem. I don't think the kids would even notice if I didn't serve meat.

Love fish....or any seafood. The price of fish is actually very reasonable compared to meat nowadays....

Love spinach as well.....

He just seems to think that if there isn't meat in the dish then somehow it's not a proper dinner (not including fish...he loves fish as well)
Tip. Put the meat on the top of the stir fry or pasta just so they know its there!!
my husband thinks the same - if there is no meat he has been proper cheated and will have to consider a chicken chow mein later! Even if the veggie dish is huge and full of proien

Yeah...they do like mushrooms.

I'm probably as much the problem as them. Because I do stuffed mushrooms as a starter, somehow it doesn't feel right having it as a main.
