Has anyone made sage tea from scratch? Love the series You Are What You Eat. However when Dr Gillian McKeith mentioned drinking sage tea (clean you out & reduce sweating etc) she didn't mention how to make it. Do you put in the leaves into boiling water as they are - fresh? Or do you have to dry the leaves? I've now bought a plant and am not sure how to proceed from here? (Must just add that I don't intend to buy ready made as am now growing it fresh)

Many thanks in advance

my aunt makes this... you use fresh leaves, probably about 3 - 5 for 1 mug (adjust as you like it - tear the leaves up), add boiling water and let it steep for 10-15 minutes. if you buy it in the shop it'll be dried but it is exactly the same making it this way. you can add honey if you want it a bit sweeter
