Hi, can I eat plumb tomatoes raw or do I need to cook/process them first?

You can eat them raw but the absolute best way IMO is to roast them with red pepper, garlic and onion; put into a pan with stock, fresh basil and fennel, a couple of dried chilli flakes, sugar, pepper and a little salt. Simmer gently until cooked, liquidise and strain. Add some small pasta shapes and cook for 5 minutes. Wonderful homemade soup to die for.

I am living on tomatoes at the moment, of all varieties, including plum. There are only so many tomatoes one can consume, but Mr LL got carried away growing them from seed.
