Regarding halal and "western" slaughter, any butchers, abottoir workers about?

Earlier i read a thread about halal slaughter saying that the meat is cleaner as all the blood is drained all blood borne bacteria is flushed out.
As every atom of blood cannot be flushed out of the body am i right in saying this makes no sense and cannot be true?
Another question is how is normal meat slaughtered compared to halal?
Is there any health benefits between the two or is there any taste benefits due to how they're differently slaughtered?

As far as I know, in abbotoirs the animal is stunned, it`s throat slit and then immediately hung. The blood draines out via the force of gravity. In halal, the same happens without the stunning so same result, different method (one being as humane as possible, the other being inhumane).
237SJ like you said they sound identical bar the stunning which in itself has a large scope between humane and inhumane.
Naomi, one day they'll be harvesting meat or meatlike products grown in labs or food establishment and they'll probably look back in horror at us backwards past humans that used to hunt or farm meat and slaughter animals for food.
