we are having friends visit on Sunday and i was going to do a roast dinner but not sure if the little one would eat it and i hate the mess, i know it comes with the territory. Any ideas what i can cook that they will like and we can all eat? I was going to do a roast with mash and veg , gravy and red cabbage but doubt she would like that.
My three year olds would wolf that down (but I would have to hedge my bets with the gravy). Probably best to ask them what she likes to eat as they are all different. (Mine love mash, carrots, broccoli and one loves sprouts.)
Excuse me: You invite people to your house and you have to 'ask the parents what their child eats'? I'm sorry, when I invite I make a meal for everyone. I make it varied to accomodate most people, vegetarians included but no way will I ask what a child eats! just like I wouldn't ask what an adult eats!
Just do the roast as planned (not sure what mess you're referring to though). If the 4 year old doesn't want it then just make her a sandwich or something simple.
