Can I still harvest carrots now?
4 Answers
I sowed some Early Nantes and Chanteney carrots late last summer, they never really did anything and consequently just got left. Outside yesterday I decided to clear my planting tubs and discovered lots of 2-3 inch long healthy looking carrots, an ideal size for putting into stews and casseroles. Will they still be fit for eating?

Carrots are at their tastiest when the are only 2-3" long... I put in a whole packet on Nantes (2000)seeds about the same time as you. I never thinned them out, and have been left with a whole crop all between.. 1" and 4" ..
I'm still pulling a few out every time I go near the allotment.
Only yesterday I lifted about 15 ... sadly only 9 of them made it home... I love...
