Anyone else here feel like joining a nationwide campaign to stop greedy Tesco taking over the world? Who'd be prepared never to shop there ever again?

what I would love is, if everyone for one day, stopped going into Tesco's. So no-one was in there, just to show them there is -or should be - a limit to how much profit a company needs to make. We're all being fleeced by them, whether you're a customer, staff or supplier. Someone needs to give them a wake up call.

maggiebee, the cancer v gay rights charity issue was discussed at length at the time.
As I said to you then, Tesco raised £70 million for CLIC cancer charity and donated £30,000 to sponsor Gay Pride.
So the £70 MILLION means nothing to you? The £30k for Gay Pride would have been very cheap advertising for Tesco.
As I also said, Tesco did not drop CLIC for Gay Pride. It wasn't an 'either or', but a totally different scenario.
I despair that people can be so swayed by red top headlines without looking at the facts.
