My grandson, Mason, who is three is coming to stay for the weekend, however he is going through a phase of only eating 'white' food. I do pasta with White sauce and rice, potatoes, fish, cauliflower. Anyone got any more suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

how about helping him cook your tea/dinner?

Get out the ingredients for your dinner and let him chop, fry, etc etc
Make it as colourful as you can - peas, carrots, broccoli
Let him help you with filling pans of water, chopping carrots, putting it onto the water to boil up
Have it with chicken or pork as he does eat that and perhaps cheese sauce instead of...

my suggestion? Don't pander to him. I bet he wouldn't insist his chocolate pudding was white!
chicken or turkey.
Rice pudding as a dessert maybe. Or white chocolate mousse - though I would probably steal that myself rather than give it away!!

Every single thing has to be White including chocolate puddings.
time to insist he has some colour in his food before it comes the norm for the rest of his life
How white does it have to be? Will he eat pork?
mushrooms, onions and parsnips. Plain yogurt with banana.
bread and laughing cow cheese
Question Author
Ummmm, yes he will eat pork, but not with gravy.
Question Author
This has only been going on for a couple of weeks, before that he would eat anything.
halloumi cheese - grilled.
Question Author
Great idea grass carp, he loves cheese
Same choice as I had as a youngster,
If you don't like what's put in front of you;
Go hungry
Philly cheese, lychees. (Oh, that rhymes!)
agree with bednobs.
if he likes cheese brie is white, and you can also give him some white grapes with it.

Just the odd thing popped into your mouth as you go, nothing said to him when you do it, and a few mmm, mmm noises
don't try to persuade him to eat it because he has helped but just out it onto his plate - as small a portion as possible and take it from there
He might have a go at it because he helped you cook it
It's all about subliminal messages =)

Although I must say that is a weird one
white bread fried in lard.
I'd just tell him its blue week this week and dye everything with blue food colouring - then next week do green week with only vegetables - that'll have him begging for a mixed plate again.
Porage, semolina, tapioca pudding.
