I was in a rush to cook mine and put them in the pressure cooker. I know I should have waited for the steam to disperse, but I didn't. They shot out of the steam vent and hit the ceiling at what felt like 90 mile an hour.It rained green slush everywhere and took six coats of paint before the stain was covered. I don't buy dried anymore. LOL
I used to buy packets of peas with the bi-carb tablet but I always forgot to steep them the night before I needed them, so ended up using the hard peas for blind -baking pastry cases.
Anyone remember the marrowfat peas we used to get at school? If they were cooked too long their clear skins came off - we used to call them "peas in plastic macs".
