Adding Various Bits to Meals,do you do it ?

My best mate likes to cook , what's more he likes to mess with food that is perfectly OK and enjoyed by millions of people every day,
Do you have a meal that you just have to add something and what is it and what do you add.Do other's find this disgusting.

Why would anyone find that disgusting?
Give us some examples, I've no idea what you mean. Why would changing a recipe be disgusting?
I put sugar in my tinned tomatoes and gravy?

Not served together!!
Why not as long as it adds value to the dish.

recent ones:

choc fondant with chillis - with fresh vanilla ice cream

choc ice cream with freshly cracked black pepper - and this works - esp with hazelnut meringues.

freshly made macaroni cheese with bacon. leeks and cherry toms - chipotle and chilli added (yum)
They sound right up my street, DT :-)
A small square of chocolate (must be dark chocolate) melted into a chilli-con-carne just before service makes the most amazing difference to the taste of the overall dish.

Strawberries - believe it or not - taste fab when sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper. Odd - but true!
Mate of mine had salt & vinegar on all his meals :-@
Bloomin' 'eck, we'll be avin snail porridge and black puddin ice cream next.
what about "we'll be 'avin black puddin porridge and snail ice cream next.

someone down here has just started selling 'og's Puddin' loaded with chilli and it's delish.
