I thought this tasted gross..its not hot either.
If you want to do a cold dessert, then do a simple ganache and flavour it. basically ganache is double cream melted together with an equal amount of chocolate.google for a recipe. The techniquey bit is not splitting the cream or making the chocolate go grainy, the secret is very very gentle melting over a slow bain marie and having the ingredients at warm room temp before you start.

Assuming it is a fondant recipe you want I suggest you try St Delia's http://www.deliaonlin...ocolate-puddings.html
Making fondants and getting the melting centre is difficult because there are so many variables; size of dariole mould, temperature of mixture, actual temperature of oven (which isn't necessarily what it says on the dial). Delia addresses most of these with the exception of oven temp variation.
Humbersloop, if you are slinking away to the supermarket try the Gu choc puds, they are good, and often appear in my basket when on offer!

OMG, sugar work...it's not just hair that needs to be covered, especially if trying to create Angels Hair where you are drawing long, fine filaments back and forth. Cupboards, work surfaces and especially floors are going to get smothered.
Bitter experience has taught me to be more restrained, in my own kitchen at least, I'm not so fussy when I have someone to clear up behind me!
