Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Blackpool? Already looking forward to a mezefest at Middle of the Earth (went there last year - highly recommendable), but could also do with a decent Italian or Indian.

For Indian, the Shabab on Church st., is well worth a visit (behind the tower)

Try these Italians

La Fontana, Clifton St (runs from the Promenade opposite North Pier)

La Piazza, Cedar Sq (near to Winter Gardens and St John's Church)

Da Vinci, King St (near the Syndicate night club)

All of them are within walking distance of each other, and not too far from the Middle of the Earth, so you could recce when you go there.

La Piazza is good - as has been said. Mind the garlic bread though - it has about 8 cloves of garlic on it !!

Also, there's a good Italian in Abingdon Street, near the library between Queen St and Springfield Rd. Sorry, the name escapes me and I was only there last week !

Many thanks for the tips - unfortunately the weekend will be too short to try them all out!
