When you buy a ham it comes (normally) wrapped in some sort of mesh that keeps it fresh.
What is this called please, and where cn I get one?

I would have thought it is used to keep the meat together, rather than fresh. Ask if your local butcher can sell you some. They must have it on a roll.
Do you mean something like this? http://www.meatnetting.com/

I'm not aware of it being available to the domestic market.

You might be able to buy a length from a butcher but if a butcher is using it he's more likely to be a meat retailer than a true butcher.
Sorry, just picked up on the fresh comment, what do you mean?

How do you want to use this mesh, are you home curing?
Look in Ebay under--"Meat Netting"
