I'd like to try this easy-looking recipe but it's American, and while I can manage to measure ingredients in cupfuls, I really don't know what 1 "stick" of butter would look like! Can anyone help?

Thank you 2sp and Gingejbee they are BOTH good answers. Shall I post the recipe? Looks really quick and easy (now I know what a stick is) (112.5g to save anyone else looking it up).
Please do share the recipe. I'm always on the lookout for something new to bake.

Tried raspberry buns last week. The worst thing to ever come out of an oven.

Jiffy Chocolate Cookies - No baking
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick butter (112.5g!)
half cup milk
3 cups oatmeal
half cup peanut butter

Boil sugar, cocoa, butter, milk for 2 minutes, add oatmeal, peanut butter.
Drop by spoonfuls onto foil.
