Oh No, I thought it may be a good idea haha
Thought you'd say it was very tasty!
My mum does that, it's grim. She puts a kitchen towel over it I think. It ends up coming out looking anaemic with moist white fatty bits... it's a bloody crime against bacon.
For 6 rashers back bacon I cook in pyrex shallow dish for 2mins 20secs, turn over then same again. You can always do it a bit less or bit longer to suit. My oven is 700w power.

ha Ha okay, will get Georgy out again and carry on as i normally do.

Thanks very much for saving me a ruined meal x lol
Please don't do it. I dry-fry in a frying pan because I like it extra-crispy!
My husband prefers it that way but I must admit I like mine fried. It can look a bit anaemic, I agree.

What cleaning?
If I use the GF for bacon I put a couple of pieces of kitchen towel on the grill, pour on a little water from the kettle and shut the lid . It will basically clean itself.
As soon as you take bacon off your griddle wipe it down straight away with kitchen paper. Job done. Just needs a wipe over with dampcloth then when cool.
