Got to cook a veg stew for 7-8 people.

Im doing it in the slow cooker.

Ive cut up carrots, parsnips, sweede, turnips, leeks, shallots.

This has been covered in veg stock and white wine

Ill probably put some pearl barley in.

Anything else ? garlic ? might put some herbs in (thyme, rosemary)

What about double cream ?

Any suggestions welcome

dont put the cream in til the very end, it separates out during cooking, single is better
I'd chuck a tin of tomatoes in as well.
Haricot beans or lentils.
im a vegan and that sounds good to me without the cream
Yep, tom puree or tinned toms, def garlic, thyme, bay leaf, ground cumin, a touch of paprika and parsley to finish.

Personally I'd skip the cream.
No cream, but must have tomatoes in mine x
I'd skip the cream too

dash of worcester sauce is essential
Herby dumplings. You can get vegetable suet from the supermarkets now.
