Yes please! She is fantastic. :)
she makes me smile with her enthusiasm and quirky ideas, but love the passion! Can taste the food now, yummmmmm
Me too. I've never been adventurous enough to try any of her recipes, though...
I was amazed to find out that she is 79! And only lived in England for 2 years. She actually lives in America now. All of her recipes look fantastic.
Indian food is really beginning to take off in the States these days.

When I was living and working in Baltimore in the early 90s, I went to the opening night of the first ever Indian restaurant in Maryland, or so they claimed...

The waiters were so amazed when I ordered the meal using the Indian terms that they gave us the whole meal free... :-)

Flippin' heck I hadn't realised she was quite that old.

I absolutely love her food and her vindaloo recipe is the best ever. She doesn't try to over Anglicise and simplify he recipes like so many others do.

You're right about Indian food in the US Mark, they've even started adding spices too. In the early days it was so tame it was funny, you'd still see the Americans sweating like crazy though!
She provided my first proper introduction to spices, love her

I'm catching up with more of the programmes she's made. The more I see of this woman the more I love her (I didn't think I was into hero worship).

Her calm and soothing manner and wonderful knowledge of food id so inspiring. Seeing her visiting a Sikh temple where they might feed 1,000 people a day, for free, is astonishing.

It is wonderful to see such a variety of healthy dishes that are good for the heart and the soul. The vibrancy of Indian food is something that so few in the UK experience due to the Anglicisation of Indian restaurant menus, such a shame.

I'm sorry to keep banging on about her but I've just watched two more episodes.

If you have only the vaguest interest in Indian cookery or food in general, please do try to find an episode of this wonderful series on More4.
I haven`t seen her show but I enjoyed her autobiography. She was definitely a pioneer of Indian food in the UK.
EC I am loving this new series of hers. She is fantastic. :)
Oh! Is she back on telly then, Eccles? When? My mum and I used to love watching her way back - must have been in the 80s. I must try to watch her programme.
