I don't exactly know how they work, but you really don't wanna know where they come from.

I do now!!

It's just that there are good and bad bacteria that live in the gut, and we can help our digestion etc by having more of the good ones! When taken in EXCESS, I mean millions, it has shown to really improve diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseasem, which has no known cause or cure. Things like anti-biotics will kill off ALL bacteria in the gut, good and bad, so you are basically just topping up the good ones.

Having said that, it's a well known fact that there are not enough good bacteria in a bottle to actually make any real difference.

Thanks scarlett... so how many bottles do you thnk i would need to drink to notice a difference then?
It's not so much how many bottles- you would be drinking all the milk and sugar too. You can get probiotics in "bulk" but I think tests are still being done. I don't believe for a minute that actimel etc actually makes anyone feel better. You'd be better off just doing a detox or giving up alcohol for a bit!
i did the actimel 2 wk challenge and i didn't feel any different, but the strawberry flavour was nice!
I don't think it would make a difference! I think your digestion would probably benefit more from avoiding wheat and dairy and meat for a few weeks!
