How many strings are there in a cheesestring?
26 Answers
When you pull those cheesestrings apart, some of the strands that peel off are no more than the thickness of a human hair (and having long hair, I often get them mixed up, and try to eat my hair and brush my cheesestrings...). I was wondering if anybody has ever gone to the trouble of pulling off every strand individually and counting them. There must be thousands! I expect the manufacturers will have done studies and reports on this kind of thing - just in case berks like me come along and ask such bizarre questions. There's probably a mathematical formula for it.

I guess I should have expected that nobody would come up with a serious answer. But, chedditor, it was a genuine question, and so if anybody has an answer, however vague, it'd be interesting. PS Hopkirk: I'd completely forgotten that Monty Python had done another cheese-related item, as well as the Cheese Shop sketch. Thanks for reminding me of that one.
