Ready made turkey gravy

Has anyone got any recommendation for a really good shop bought turkey gravy - store/brand. I can't make gravy for toffee and only himself likes it but a bad one can ruin his meal. Thanks.

I make it myself but I have seen good reviews for M&S and Waitrose's turkey gravy.

Thanks both. Use Bisto usually (on the v rare occasion that I make a cooked dinner). Things are less hectic now that the things are older so I might have a go at making it and have a ready made one in as back up.

I would prefer to make toffee than make a Christmas dinner.
Give it a go, sherr. Really cook the starch out of the flour before adding too much liquid. Not too much salt. Add some wine or sherry and veg water to the meat juices from the roasting tin - you cannot go wrong :)

I make my own (Jamie O recipe), it's a bit of faffing but well worth it. I'm making it next week and freezing for Christmas day.

Thanks for the link vodka, just skimmed the ingredients and thought 'sod that for a game of soldiers' - out of all of us, only himself is going to eat it and whilst I do love him (obviously) I don't love him that much.
they had some in the local deli but it was gobbled up.
I wish I could take the credit sherr, but it was the lovely Rocky who gave you the link! lol

If it's not your thing, just buy one of the fresh gravys from M&S, you can't go wrong xx

Thanks vodka, apologies rocky. I think I can't make it because I don't eat (I don't drink tea and cannot make a decent mug of that either).
I don't know if this is available in the UK; but, we always use a brand called "French's". It's very tasty, and comes in different flavours including turkey, pork. etc.
God, if it's only for one, I'd definitely not make my own, he'd get Bisto gravy granules ;). The new Coleman's squirty tube thingies are not bad.
My gravy is always delicious, if I say so myself. When the turkey is cooked scatter plain flour into the juices (if there is a lot of fat, skim some off first) and stir over heat for a few minutes till it goes brown. you can tell when it's cooked because it starts to feel a bit ";sandy". Add water that the veg have been cooked in and continue stirring, with a whisk preferably. Check seasoning and cook till the gravy is as thick as you like it. Don't worry if its lumpy. What do you think sieves were invented for?
Of course I meant ";sandy" ie, a bit like sand!
