8-10 minutes. Anymore than 12 and you have cauliflower soup

2-3 Minutes from boiling for me. Tilly if you pop 1 or 2 bay leaves into the boiling water you don't get that cauliflower smell

I do mine in large florets, almost a quarter of an average cauli, so I do it for about 15 minutes. Don't like it too soft but not keen on it too hard either.

I don't like steamed caulie. Brocolli yes. I simmer mine with a slice of lemon in the water, just until the stem has some [i]givei[] in it. No smell either.
