I went out for lunch and had fillet steak medallions...slightly rare. Lush!

thick cut chunky chips, sauteed mushrooms, I had fried onions, the others had beer-battered onion rings, peas and a nice side salad of mixed leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, spring onions and a blue cheese and bacon dressing

sounds excellent, except for the mushrooms - I don't like them so you can have mine. And I think I'll go with the battered rings rather than fried onions.

Delish roast beef for me at lunch, roasties and yorkies, sprouts/carrots/parsnips/red onions then a home made lemon flan with soft meringue.

Dinner- chicken and a leek sauce, green beans and a nice bouteille du vin.

No, couldn't get any clotted cream. There's a farmer comes up to Bromsgrove to the farmers market where I usually get it, but I had to stay in for a delivery the day of the market before christmas and couldn't get out ! Dinner was cooked by my darling hubby
