Pimms

Does anyone have a good recipe for 'Pimms' - i.e., what do you mix it up with?  Thanks.

I think you can mix it with lemonade, ice and a sprig of borage, which is, apparently, a stiff hairy Mediterranean herb.  All I know is that I like it and my sister and I got very drunk on it last summer, ended up lying on the lawn and getting bitten to pieces by the mozzies.

pimms and lemonade...with sliced apple strawberry and a sprig of mint...ice and a  stirrer...fabulous long summer drink...I had it served at my wedding with canopies for guests on arrival...a little different to champagne !( everyone loved it ) !!!

And it's always better to use borage rather than mint, and add a shot of gin in there too, as Pimm's is getting steadily weaker over the years (cuts through the sweetness). Add what fruit and cucumber you like, and lemonade or ginger ale.

Treat yourself to a 1 litre vacuum flask, one of those that you can pur out of with the top still on and don't use it for anything else. Chill it well in the freezer. Put in a whole tray of ice, a can of lemonade or equivalent amount ginger ale. Fill to the top with Pimms. Put the lid on and turn it over a few times to mix. put whatever fruit salad you like in the glass (I favour slices of orange) Pour yourself out a glass. Drink.

Beware,This is actually about twice as strong as is recommended on the bottle

I'd concur with the citrus (lemon / lime / orange) and cucumber.

Had to make do with mint last Sunday though - although we manged to finish the litre bottle off between the four of us (that was before we hit the cider / lager / wine or whatver else each of us was drinking).
