The sun is glorious so I took a glass of wine to drink on the patio. My pond has some water but I've not planted it up yet. I watched a strange object bobbing about above the shelf....got the net and fished out...............

A full top set of false teeth!!!

So...your most mysterious find?

There's not a body at the bottom of your pond to go with the false teeth, is there gness?

I once found a rather large pair of not-so-clean Y fronts in my driveway.

And an armchair on my door step one Sunday morning. I think my drunken friend who lived up the road from me may be responsible for that one.
so, that's where they are!

may i please have them back? X

2SP.. actually had a prod about with a cane in case there was a head in there.
When I was a young and very naive teen my Ma dragged me into to house and started shouting about my father finding a French Letter in the garden...was it anything to do with me!!!!
Green as grass I said, in all honesty, that we didn't do French at school so I couldn't have written it....I still feel the slap I got for cheek. Was ages before I found out what she was on about. :-(

Vulcan...without the fish that could be just what I found today!
lol!

Reminds me of the time Mr P was emptying the septic tank shared by his late granny and a couple of her neighbours. Granny stood watching and wondered out loud why there were so many wee plastic bottles in the septic tank...

the sheep wandering around the garden when I got back from Truro this morning......twelve of them of different breeds and sizes.

They had escaped from a field on the top side of the house.

Herded out and back minus one now roasting away in the yesterday-serviced Aga.

(joking)
well gness, the only way I can think how they got there is, a jackdaw may have pinched them off someones window sill and dropped them, but jackdaws usually pick up shiny sparkley things, did they have any gold teeth in them? may be worth i bit.
gness....The difference between a French Letter and a Welsh one, is that the Welsh item is likely to have a leak in it.:-)

Well I wondered about a bird Cecil but no gold.....I did check before binning them.
A cat wouldn't have brought them in, surely?

Alston.... ;-)

Now that could be the answer DT. :-))
well, cats have been known to bring home funny things, but don't know why it would then drop them in your pond, do you have a neighbour who's put on a lot of weight and maybe the only way to lose it is get rid of the chewing gear? maybe they were thrown.
gness.....You may have been innocent about French Letters as I was about Dutch Caps. I thought they were to be found amongst the Fonts in my Computer. :-)

They're moonie's, he thought ttfn had them
