What Are Your Buffet Nightmares ?

I recoil when I arrive at a buffet and see quiche (yuk) and vol-a-vents, then those tiny sausages, then chicken drumsticks. Does everyone like quiche?

Cold greasy chicken legs or wings with the skin on all slimey and wrinkly...bleeeuuurrrgh. Everything else is good.

so I'm a dead loss at a buffet....

loath any kind of sausage, cheapo ready made meat stuff where you know its MRM and MSG in equal quantities, the aforesaid quiche, the aforesaid anonymous gloop.

I love a varied buffet and this threads making me quite peckish... I don't bother with the sweet stuff but trifle...especially no thank you.

Love bean salad, twiglets, pork pie (but not supposed to eat it). Not too keen on anything sweet.

I've just remembered an engagement party buffet I went to which was quite nice, choice of chilli and rice or a curry and rice or chips nice tasty hot food and various sandwiches and dips.

I like a nice well cooked quiche. Can't stand crab sticks they are just reconstituted scraps of white fish. Never seen a crab let alone have any crab in them. (surimi).
