Lol I know, it's cos you is MAD innit? lol ;) xx
well that's cheap unless you are drinking some piss prosecco.
Much as I can do to manage breakfast lunch and dinner. Tea? No way.
Sorry, I meant Afternoon Tea rather than High Tea. £25 is with a cuppa. :)
£25 is for sea water, DT :P

Voddy, you know me so well! (There's a song in there somewhere???) :)) x

If you get three of Voddie's cakes.....I'll go for it!

(And a glass of Charles Heidsieck please)
Three???? It would cost you way more than that for three of them! lol ;)

I'll see what I can do, DT. I make no promises, ok.
Lol. Loving the song. Gave me a much needed giggle :)

Voddy, stop being so tight. Give him three blimmin cakes for £25!! lol
and a decent quaff of the (excellent) champers......
Please would somebody define Afternoon Tea.
At that price surely it is outrageous.
I am sailing, I am sailing,
home again 'cross the tea.
I am sailing, maddy waters,
to be near you, to be free.

I am cooking, I am cooking,
like a bird 'cross the sky.
I am flying, passing high plates,
to be with you, to have a high tea.

Can you hear me, can you hear me
thro' the AB night, far away,
I am sighing, forever trying,
to be with you, who can say.

Can you hear me, can you hear me,
for Voddie's baking far away.
I am dying, forever trying,
to be with you, three cakes a day.

We are sailing, we are sailing,
home again 'cross the tea.
We are sailing maddy waters,
to be near you, champers free.

Oh Ed, to be near you, to be free.
Oh Ed, to be near you, to be free,
Oh Ed.
Not really as I want the cakes and the bubbly
Ah, Dt. You know I'm not usually one for AB poems, but that did make me smile.
Very good. Very good indeed :-)
Tea at the Ritz start at £40 each. Tea for 2 at the Savoy costs £96

At the Ritz you can up the price by including a birthday cake and a glass of Champagne

Both teas include a selection of dainty sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and cream and the finest little cakes served with teas or tisanes of your choice!
Scone as in gone:)
I love a nice high tea in pretty little china cups, we've got a lovely little Shelley tea set we occasionally do this with when we're feeling all Upstairs Downstairs.

Thanks for all your answers. I hope the link works.. and you don't even get a glass of bubbly, but just a yawny old cup of tea... I think I'll give it a miss... ;-)
of course they used to pronounce tea "tay", same as in French.
What about this for an afternoon tea experience. I visited Cliveden a couple of years ago ( only the National trust bit) and despite the prices they seemed to be doing brisk business.
