I buy lots of cheaper versions of things though, after buying a load of cheap supermarket's own washing up liquid for a delivery, I tried some Fairy Platinum on offer and am not going back, makes an amazing difference!
Lurpack butter. When I was a child my mother used to trade our butter coupons, it was rationed then, with the coal man for coal. I remember that we had lard on our bread.I always said that when I grew up that I should only buy the best butter and I have.
I only ever buy locally sourced beef - we have some great butchers in this area, and they get the meat from local farmers. Good butter. Decent (not the cheap stuff) toilet rolls. Good gin.
And I must have really good bread, not that plastic wrapped, plastic stuff from the supermarket - if I can't buy a decent loaf I bake my own
Sharingham, we had a nice piece of continental sunday roast beef yesterday, and the remains cold with salad today. It was from the local Intermarche and it was delicious. It was made even nicer because it wasn't pink at all, it was red and soooo tender. yummy
