I'm breaking the tradition today. Although there's no sun it is still very warm so I'm down-sizing lunch today...
We're having baked Lamb Shanks in mint gravy with crushed baby Jersey Royals in butter, + asparagus tips & baby new carrots.
I have done this with sirloin steak with garlic & horse radish sauce which is delish too.
Apple pie and Ice Cream to finish & I've got a nice bottle of pink Cava chilling to wash it all down. I would invite you but I've only got 2 lamb shanks.

Are you down sizing on this warm muggy day?

You call that down sizing! Sounds like a feast.
Yep, last nights left over pizza.
Sounds really nice, shame you haven't got more!
Sounds lovely apart from the jersey royals, which,in my neck of the woods anyway, are absolutely tasteless, have moved on to lincolns, gorgeous.
No, I'm cooking for my nephews birthdays so we're having a meat feast.
There is no way I would call that downsizing, it sounds like a feast to me.
I will be having a Tesco Finest ready meal!
I'm just having a salad with some veggie koftas.

Wouldn't mind an invite to yours Jem or even Ummmms!
We're having steak and stilton pie with some new spuds and carrots out the garden. We're having a roast tomorrow (I found a lump of beef in the freezer when I was defrosting it yesterday and thought it was about time it got eaten).
i dont feel like cooking, but maybe have roast or salad around 6 pm. (dinner)
if it was left up to me, i would be more than happy to have a big tasty prawn baguette or sandwich.
Seafood salad for us, smoked salmon and prawns, (on offer in Co-op yesterday) easy peasy.
Beside which, I adore any type of seafood.
haven't cooked for days.....too hot for hot food.
We had a small ploughman's lunch and a pot of coffee. Neither of us eat much during the day and if we ever fancy a Sunday roast, we'll have it on a winter's evening when its too dark to do much else; when the parsnips are cold and frosted and the brussel sprouts are crunchy and crisp.
We never have a roast. I am currently cooking the kids things that they like (today its hot dogs with two different sorts of sausages), himself is having tasty bits and pieces (as and when he fancies it) and I am eating whatever, whenever.
Love lamb shanks..... but can't bear hot roast food in this weather, I have fish, and fish, and fish, this week.
Lamb shanks etc sounds like a roast lunch to me.
We had a BBQ - actually the 1st one of this heatwave.
We had a lobster salad, found a couple in the freezer from Lidl's Christmas offer! Not much on one, is there.
