I have been invited to a meal at a Kurdish restaurant this coming week.
I have no idea what their cuisine is like.
I like most savoury foods, crispy is good, nothing TOO strongly flavoured.
Does anyone have any suggestions please? Starter and Main for preference.

I love Kurdish food. There is one in Edinburgh called Hanams and the food there is delicious. This is their menu, it might give you some idea about the food you may be having: http://www.hanams.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/feb13-full-menu.pdf

There is a Kurdish restaurant in Edinburgh, but I have never been there. I am led to believe that you cook your own steaks at the table.
I think it depends on the restaurant as to whether it's cooked in the kitchen - but the Middle Eastern food I've had is lovely. Do you have the restaurant name, so you could google their website? Most restaurants have their specimen menus online.
....think I'd stay at home, to cook my own food....
As boxtops suggested just google types of kurdish foods and take a note of what you fancy for reference later.
Why on earth would you say that, gingebee? Trying new food is an adventure, and ferlew should go for it.
There are some interesting recipes here ...http://kurdishcuisine.blogspot.co.uk
wow, I've never looked into Kurdish food before, it looks delicious! Think I will be experimenting a little now

I spent six months in Kurdistan and was a bit worried about trying the food. As it turned out I really enjoyed it and always looked forward to dinner time.
Hope that you're not on a diet though because the portions are huge. Enjoy.
pasta: it was half-jokingly.....in response to the first answer...!

I have looked at their website/listing, there are 6 reviews, but no sample menu.
Been trying to google, without much success.
I love trying different cuisines, my son and I have started doing one every other month.
The only one we have not enjoyed, is Portugese.
That may have been a poor restaurant, rather than cuisine in Portugal's defence.

Great V&C, that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you :)
