a nice recipe for slow cooking a half leg of lamb with lamb and rosemary that approximates the above.

Not quite what I am looking for, but thanks anyway :)
Kleftiko is the food of gods if done properly.
No reason why mint and rosemary couldn't find their way into the mix - it may not be 'authentic' but I'm sure it would be delish.
here, but lamb shanks are double cooked. 1st boiled till tender then flavoured & stewed.

Personally I think it's sacrilege to slow cook a leg of lamb as if it's lamb shanks. Leg of lamb is so expensive and should be served pink. Why not just use lamb shanks for your dish?
